Drive to visit the Diaoyu Castle. Diaoyu Castle was once a battlefield during the Southern Song Dynasty when that Mongol Great Khan take battle and was killed by canno in the castle. With sheer cliffs rising abruptly on four sides, the castle is difficult to access. The City Gate, Royal Palace, Huguo Temple, Hanging Temple, as well as handwriting of ancient China are well preserved here.
Move on to visit
Laitan Ancient City. With a history of more than 1010 years history, Laitan Ancient town was built in Qing Dynasty. It is one of the first "Famous Historical and Cultural Towns of China". More than 400 blue tile-roofed houses were built in Ming and Qing Dynasty. The alleys are paved with blue stones. Travelers may still feel the rustic custom and local life style by walking in the town.
Then visit Laitan Temple. Laitan Temple was well knowned since Tang Dynasty. The highlights is buddhism sculpures, especially the statue of a Sakyamuni with a height of 12.5 meters, which the temple named after. Travelers may also appreciate its unique architectural style.
